Materials Technical Support FAQ

Find the right questions to ask about your packaging stock, print and structure.

Which material should I consider for shipping?

Start by discussing corrugated board, box fit and any insert needed for your product. The final grade should reflect the weight and handling conditions.

Can a material be used for direct food contact?

Food-contact suitability belongs to the exact material grade and application. Share the food type, temperature and contact conditions so ODO can check the requirements.

Which options should I discuss for recycling?

Ask about kraft, recycled board and paper-based structures, then review the full finished pack. Coatings, windows and decorative films affect the recycling route.

How do folding paperboard and rigid board differ?

Folding paperboard is cut and creased into a carton. Rigid chipboard forms a more substantial setup box and is often covered with a separate printed wrap.

How is the right thickness selected?

Share your product dimensions, weight, structure and shipping conditions. ODO can discuss an appropriate stock and confirm the specification in your quote.
